Body Types - Do You Like How You Look?
CAN YOU MORPH INTO A DIFFERENT BODY TYPE?
Did you know that there are three different body types? All of us fit into one of these types, or we may have elements of several. They are:
Endomorph is a heavy body with a soft and rounded shape.
Mesomorph is a well-developed, muscular body.
Ectomorph is a long and lean body.
Bill Clinton, John Goodman, and Roseanne Barr are endomorphs.
A
old Schwarzenegger, Daryl Hannah, and Kevin Costner are mesomorphs.
Mia Farrow, Anthony Perkins, and Fred Astaire are ectomorphs.
DOES IT MATTER WHAT BODY TYPE YOU ARE?
Which are you? It doesn’t really matter. Whatever your body type is, you can’t change it. What is important to remember is that regardless of your body type, you can be healthy by eating right and exercising regularly. An important truth to remember for all body types is that regular exercise and healthy eating will make you look better and give you more energy. If you look better and have more energy and you allow it to shine, others will notice, too. This is extremely important because of the unrealistic “ideal” body that is perpetuated in the media. I can assure you that there are people with these bodies who are not healthy. I also know people who have a little excess body fat who are very healthy because of the quality of food they eat and the active lifestyles they lead.
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE
What you can change is how you feel about how you look. Your feelings about your looks closely tie in with how you feel about yourself. Are you really going to begin to like yourself once you achieve that ideal weight and appearance? What if you never achieve it? Does that mean that you will not accept and like yourself as much? If your thoughts have led you to believe that you first must achieve that ideal weight before you can really be satisfied or like yourself, you are in for a rude awakening. You would not treat a friend like that, because you know the true worth of a friend is not their appearance or their state of health. You won’t find happiness like that, and you will therefore probably have greater difficulty accomplishing some of your life goals because you will have robbed yourself of your greatest motivator. That’s you.
