About the Author
John Eldredge is the founder and director of Ransomed Heart Ministries in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Ransomed Heart Ministries is a fellowship devoted to helping people live from their deep heart. Those at the ministry believe that from the heart, a person finds intimacy with God and others and discovers life’s purpose and calling.
Eldredge is also a best-selling author, counselor, and lecturer. For more than 12 years, he was a writer and speaker for Focus on the Family. Eldredge received his undergraduate degree in theater from Cal Poly and worked as an actor and director in Los Angeles for ten years. He received his M.A. in counseling from Colorado Christian University.
Eldredge has written several books, including Wild at Heart, in which he urges men to recover their masculine heart and helps women understand the implications of masculinity in their romantic relationships. Eldredge also co-authored The Sacred Romance, which inspires readers to enter into a romance with God. The book was followed up by The Journey of Desire.
