Boost Your Immune System For a Healthier Body
How do you boost your immune system for a healthier body? Well according to Dr. Joel Fuhrman, author of “Super Immunity” it all starts in the kitchen.
He says what we feed our bodies has everything to do with our health – and sadly most of all are making the wrong dietary choices. He follows by saying we are depleting our immune function by consuming too many high processed foods, added sweeteners, animal fat and protein.
What’s happening then as a result we are shortening our lives, living sicker and spending way too much time at the doctor’s office and hospital. We are also becoming much more dependent on prescription medication.
In Dr. Fuhrman’s words: “We have scientific evidence that the right raw materials and nutritional factors can double or triple the protective power of the immune system”. It is possible to hardly ever get sick and boosting your body’s defense to the level of super immunity can save your life.
It all comes down to simply change our eating habits. The average American is nutrient deficient. We are not eating enough fruits, beans, seed and vegetables so this deprives our bodies of the most vital immune – boosting compounds.
I believe your body is a “magnificent machine” and it should never be abused. Most of us come on this earth with this “magnificent machine running at top performance. However there could be some exception to this if a baby is born with some kind of physical or mental impairments.
Abusing this “magnificent machine” in many ways. They started putting the wrong fuel in it. Fast food, processed food; Sugary drinks and all kinds of unhealthy food began to be added to their delicate fuel tank.
Then this “magnificent machine” started to resist and it no longer was running smoothly any more. It began to display “warning lights” indicating failure somewhere within its intricate system.
So you know what happens now don’t you? It’s either a trip to the ER or the doctor’s office to see what’s happening within your system. Next depending how serious the problem you are either admitted to the hospital or given a prescription and sent home.
Now within a few days everything might be OK and you begin feeling better. But then again within another week or month that “magnificent machine” might start sputtering again and you start feeling bad once again. So you repeat the same routine once again. You go to the ER or doctor and once again are sent home with a prescription.
This time everything looks like it will be all right for you. It seems the prescription you got solved your problem. But in another six months everything flares up again so you go to the ER or to the doctor’s office once again. However this time you are now being prompted by the doctor that surgery might be your own answer to your problem. Wait, stop right there. Don’t let this happen at least until you get a second opinion. And I believe the second opinion should come from a naturopathic or holistic doctor.
Unless your condition is a severe condition you may be able to solve it simply with a less evasive method. So many times it turns out that simply changing your lifestyle habits can finally solve your problem once and for all.
