Take a course about finances, accounting, marketing, etc. You can find different options in your city, or even online. It doesn’t matter what your business is about, you can even start with courses related to administration and accountability for example because every business is going to need you to know about these topics. It can also help you to evaluate the market and decide what type of business you are going to do. Once you have your ideas settled, you can look for more specific courses. 3. Take a course to obtain an English Certification and/or a TESOL Certification. This is very important, because today everything is done in English, so if you manage the language, you’ll have a big advantage over other business people who do not speak the language. It is, for example, a very good tool to negotiate with clients, as speaking or not speaking the language can make a big difference in communication. English is always going to be a big benefit, and it is also a big business opportunity if you think about giving Certified and guaranteed English classes! 4. Take a “Speech Course”. People with the ability to make good speeches have better opportunities of doing better negotiations, so this is an important course to take if you want to convince people about your business, whether you offer a product or a service. By doing one of these courses, you’ll learn what words to use in a conversation or speech, the tone of voice that you should have, the best faces, postures, and gestures that you can use, the moments when you need/have to speak and the type of things that you can offer from your business/occupation, depending on the person or people that you are talking to. 5. Read business news and keep yourself informed about the financial market. You don’t need to go to the corner every morning to buy the newspaper. Today, you can use online tools such as Twitter for example, or subscriptions (news that is sent by email) from different websites. Being updated with recent and relevant news is a really important thing, as it will help you to plan market strategies, look for possible clients or manage the prices and investments, etc.rnRemember that having your own business is going to be your profession, so you need to improve in this field too.
