Situated at an altitude of 12,100 ft Brahmatal trek distance is 30 km and is covered in 6 days total. It is easy to moderate in difficulty level and can be easily done by beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

Day 1- The journey starts with the drive from Kathgodam (1,483 ft) to Lohajung (7,600ft) (basecamp) covering the distance of 210 km in 8-10 hrs, with a gain of 6,117 ft in the altitude.

The journey starts with a drive from Rishikesh (1,220 ft) to Lohajung (7,600ft) covers 263 km in about 8-10 hrs with an altitude gain of 6,380 ft.

Day 2- The trek starts from the basecamp, Lohajung (7,600ft), for the next campsite Bekaltal (9,885 ft). With an altitude gain of 2,285 ft, it takes around 4.5 hrs to 5hrs to cover the distance of 6 km.

Day 3- The trek begins towards the next picturesque campsite, Brahmatal (10,440 ft) with an altitude of 555 ft. The distance of 7km is covered at a time of 6 hrs from the previous campsite to Brahamatal.

Day 4- On this day you trek to the summit i.e. Brahmatal top (12,530 ft) and descend to Khorurai (9,160 ft). One experiences the altitude gain of 2,090 ft and altitude drop around 3,370ft. The breathtaking panoramic view from the summit is worth covering the trek distance of 8 km with steep climbing taking up to 7 hrs.

Day 5- You descend back to Lohajung (7,600ft) from Khorurai (9,160 ft) with an altitude drop of 1,560 ft. The trek length of 3 km is covered at the time span of 3-4 hrs.

Day 6- The distance of 210 km from Lohajung (7,600 ft) to Kathgodam (1,220 ft) is covered by the drive in 8- 10 hrs. The altitude drop is 6,380 ft.

The entire length covered from day 2 to day 5 is around 30 Km which sums the trek distance of the Brahmatal trek.
