Break Through Your Barriers in 2020

There are times in our spiritual journey when we find ourselves grappling with the most intense inner conflicts. Rather than confront them, we would sometimes prefer to hide under the covers. We can try to deny that there’s an issue waiting to be addressed, or pray to be rescued, but deep down we know that we’ll have to choose. We can soften the strain by remembering that our power to choose is a gift, and we can be grateful. These difficult junctures aren’t always apparent in our awakening journey. There can be a great deal of shifting, rumbling and even thrashing in the subconscious mind while we carry on with our living. But the pressure can build until we have to admit that something needs to change because its purpose is expended. The more we acknowledge this, the easier it becomes. 2020 is likely this kind of year for many of us: a time of profound choice points to birth a new, lighter life. It would be unwise to let our thoughtlessness leave our limitations unexplored. Instead, we can be willing to honestly see our fears and self-deceptions so that the truth can be revealed – and not just the version we want to hear. Sometimes it’s simply a matter of slowing down to recognize what’s happening, without fooling ourselves into thinking that it’s something else. It’s helpful to be reminded that a choice, and most often a most difficult one, is an invitation to the greatest expression of ourselves. And we can choose to accept. It just might be the last step before we break through a consciousness suppression that’s been keeping us down for as long as we can recall, and probably much farther back than that. We can participate with clear intention. Breaking barriers isn’t necessarily welcomed by all. Some will fear our growth. Especially those in service to self will energetically thwart and target those who stand united in service to others and who have come to defy the darkness. Our journey is a courageous dance of diligence and resolve with many choice points. Let’s stay elevated in the Light, and honour our power to make the choices for our Highest Expression. I personally know just how much this can ask of us when we are deeply challenged, and yet, our choice remains the same – fear or love? Those made with love liberate everyone.
