Who Has Higher Risk To Develop Breast Cancer?

As the matter of fact women have higher risk of breast cancer, but men are also at the same risk however the intensity of the risk is lower for the male gender. There are some risk factors which are same for all women around the globe such as

Gender

Gender is one of the uncontrolled factors for women that put women at increased risk of being affected by this cancer. This risk is natural and no power of the world can control it because women have developed breast with a large number of breast tissues and milk producing glands.

Age

Age also comes into the category of uncontrolled factors as women age the risk heightens and according to various studies most of the breast cancer cases are diagnosed in older women however, there is no age limit to develop this cancer as it does not recognize any limit of age.

Family History

Family history contributes to intensify the risk of being attacked by the most dreadful disease of women known as breast cancer. If a woman has two close relatives with breast or any other type of cancer the risk becomes double and in case of one close relative with this cancer the risk increases 50 %.

No one can change the family history, but one thing that can be done is to take care of breast more than usual and it is equally important to recognize the risk so that precautionary measures can be taken accordingly.

Personal History of Cancer

Personal history can be defined that a woman has developed breast or any other type of cancer she is at increased risk of breast cancer although it is different from recurrence but the risk is to develop it again in any other are of breast.
