They are grouped among the ‘working class’ barrios, but Boedo and San Cristóbal, the two areas that run together, have a unique alternative, artistic, even bohemian atmosphere that is starting to emerge again after having disappeared for a long time. Being essentially a ‘young’ area, in spite of its beautiful old buildings, you will find youth hostels in the area. Caballito has a residential area of lovely old apartment blocks that have been renovated, in shady streets.
