Is it possible to build muscles and lose fat at the same time? I think a lot of people want to know this. They want to get rid of the belly fat and build muscles at the same time. Doing both simultaneously is very hard. Because these goals imposes very different demands on your body. Building Muscles If you want to get a lot of muscles, your body is going to need a lot of energy. And this energy comes from the food you eat. So you are going to need to eat more than you burn each day. Burning Fat To burn fat, you have to do the opposite. You have to eat fewer calories then you burn each day. Doing it Simultaneously So you can see why it is very hard to do both of these at the same time. And if you try to do both of them at the same time, your progress will probably be so slow that you will feel like you are getting nowhere and want to give up. But it is a lot easier for overweight beginners to be able to do it. And by beginners I mean those that are new to resistance training. And this is because the more muscles you have and the leaner you get, it gets harder and harder to build and burn at the same time. If these overweight beginners start to use an exercise and nutrition plan to lose fat. They can build muscles at the same time. Because their body can use its own body fat to give energy to the muscles One other reason why newcomers to resistance training are able to build quicker is because they are so far away from their muscular limit. It will start to go slower and slower to get muscles and burn fat the closer you get to this limit. If you want to build muscles and lose fat. You can start with a few weeks of eating and training so you get energy to be able to build up your muscles. And after that you spend a few weeks to focus on just losing fat and preserving the muscles you have built up. So you have both built muscles and lost fat in 2-3 months or something. This is what a lot of people do. When the winter comes they start eating and bulking up and building muscles. And then when the summer starts to come around, they stop trying to build muscles and start to burn fat instead, so they look good for the beach. And when you are eating and trying to build muscles you will probably gain some fat also. You can not stay lean and build lots of muscles at the same time. I did this workout my self and in 4 weeks I lost 10 cm around my waist, lost 5 kg and gained 2 kg in muscles. So I was building muscles and burning fat at the same time.
