Building trust with your audience is the first step to making real money. However, you don’t have to wait until your speaking engagement begins to begin building that trust. You can start by using social networking to reach your audience.

There are four social network sites that you need to familiarize yourself with and use on a regular basis. They are:

  • www.FaceBook.com Giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. (FaceBook About page) Get to know people and let them get to know you.
  • www.LinkedIn.com. LinkedIn is an interconnected network of experienced professionals from around the world, representing 170 industries and 200 countries. You can find, be introduced to, and collaborate with qualified professionals that you need to work with to accomplish your goals. (LinkedIn About Us page) Start networking on LinkedIn. Make use of the experience of other professionals and begin collaborating with people in your industry.

When you establish yourself through social networking, people will begin:

  • To know you.
  • To like you.
  • To trust you.
  • Will begin to buy from you.

Using these forms of social networking help to build your credibility by legitimizing who you are. People will get to know you and begin to trust you. When people trust you, they’ll buy from you. Prepare for your next seminar ahead of time using these tools.
