Buried–vs-Planted

If you are like me, you have had challenging and sometimes hellish seasons in your life. There have been times in my life when I have felt forsaken and all alone. Some months ago several of my friends and I were having a conversation. nnActually were having somewhat of a pity party. One of them had just been down sized (laid off), one of them had to file for bankruptcy, another was having marital problems and the other friend was working to avoid foreclosure.nnI know what they were feeling because I have faced all four scenarios and then some. I know what it feels like to have a situation cause you to forget that you are winner. One problem can cause you to become blind to many blessing that are all around you. nnI know what it feels like to wake up in the middle of night doubting yourself and your ability to get through this storm.nI know what it feels like to lose your will to fight or live.nI know what it feels like have people look down on you and think that where you are is where you will always be.nnMy pastor and spiritual father Bishop T.D. Jakes spoke about how some people react after you have temporally fallen from grace. It doesn’t matter what you are facing right now, remember that you are being planted and not buried. nAs you face and grow through life’s tests and trials you will become stronger. nnOften time it is difficult to tell the difference between being buried and being planted. Both processes are painful and lonely but the distinction between the two is expectation.
