An angel investor is a group or sometimes an individual who invests money on your business venture and expects equity of your business profits in return. Usually when people start up a business they tend to take up a loan from a bank and then have to repay the bank in installments. But an angel investor invests on your business and gives you enough time for the business to grow.

It is very important for an individual starting a business to understand what the angel investor expects. As they are your investors its very natural for them to expect business to flourish and one should be dedicated enough to achieve this.

Angel investorshelp in the early investments your company would require to start the business. Starting small businessis just a step away as you have your first capital investment ready, which is usually the hassle for many aspiring businessmen.

One should find a good angel investor who not just invests and wait for you to do magic, but also helps actively in suggesting ideas and giving important tips for betterment of business deals. A good Angel investor is always a businessman himself. At some point of time the Angel Investor should have been a businessman so that he understands the way things function. Or in simple words, a good Angel investor is a knowledgeable entrepreneur.

For an organization to evolve and prosper, it has to go through various phases and at each phase funds are crucial. Some organizations also require funds for further research and development. Such organizations cannot invest from the profits on development, as they would end up earning nothing. This definitely calls for Business Angels.

It is very important for an organization to explain the business and how it is going to function. It is obvious that an investor would not invest on something which he or she does not understand.

There are few things that an angel investor expects:

· The investor has to be updated in timely intervals as to how the business is proceeding.

· Investors usually would like a role in the company’s board.

· Certain actions should not be taken without the consent of the Angel Investor. This is to ensure that their investment is secure.

· A good relationship with the investor is very important as it can lead to further business deals in the future.

· Angel financing is the fastest and easiest source of start up money for business and hence the organization should consider the ideas and suggestions of the investor before taking crucial decisions.
