How often do you use money as a reason to say no when saying yes would improve your business and increase your happiness?

I certainly have used money conce
s as a reason to deny myself something that would be of value to me. Money fears have a very powerful affect on people and cause us to hesitate on saying yes to things that would makes our lives more prosperous. Let me give you an example:

Last year I was contacted by a client who was struggling to grow her business and pay her bills. She is a single mom with little child support raising a young child. She had been a participant in a teleclass I led and felt I might be able to help her. I recall her saying, "I don't know what you charge and if you can help me, I'll find the money to pay you". That spoke volumes to me. She understood that hiring me was an investment in herself and her business instead of seeing coaching as an additional cost (expense).

You must invest in your business in order to grow it. You have to spend money to make money. This isn't a new thought. It's been around for a long time. Wise investments bring rich returns.
Growing yourself as a person is another investment that has value. Investments can be monetary, time, life-long learning, self-care..... anything that helps you expand and grow that brings value to your life is worthwhile.

If you are really serious about having what you desire, how can you afford to keep saying no? Successful people are willing to do whatever it takes to have what they want. Are you? Have you really made the decision to have what you desire? Pay attention to how quickly you dismiss something because of money. You might be surprised at how often you might be missing out on an opportunity that will bring you big returns.

Creative options to overcome money restrictions

1. Barter for services or products.

2. Discuss an installment plan.

3. Apply for a line of credit.

4. Borrow from friends or family. (PSST. get over embarrassment of asking for help. Let others show up for you when you are in need.)

5. Buy used. Check eBay and Amazon.

6. Explore other ways to creatively negotiate the investment.

7. Sell some things to generate income. List on Ebay or have a garage sale.

8. Be willing to create some short-term debt as you are increasing your revenue.

9. Look for income producing opportunities such as affiliate sales revenue, creating a selling a product, paid speaking engagements. Get the picture. Be creative!

If you're stuck, confused, lack expertise - whatever and you need something or someone to help you move forward, saying no because of money might cost you more than you think.

Oh yeah, my client? Within 30 days , her business grew 500%. She dove right in implementing some immediate business strategies and cleared up some old emotional baggage. Currently, she is adding a second business and has several people she out sources to in order to handle specific tasks. Amazing what can happen when you move "I can't afford it" out of the way, isn't it?

Need something and think you can't afford to have it? Is that really true or just an excuse?
