1. Buying a house means you need to select the right one and then comes the legal formalities. If you are new then it is very important that you hire a real estate agent. When you look for property agent make sure that they are experienced and hold market reputation.Experienced agent will not just understand your need but he/she will also give you financial and legal advice. You can browse online and select an expert or ask your friend and family to suggest you one.

Once you have hired an expert, communicate to him your need, which means your budget, location where you want your house to be and the size you are looking for. With all the information your agent will be able to advice you and also show you some property. There are many newly launched properties in Singapore like the Botanique at Bartley where you can invest for a sophisticated and relaxed life.

2. Now that your agent knows what you want he/she will show you few properties. You can visit the location and then select based on certain factors which includes connectivity, amenities, fixture added in the unit and other facilities nearby like schools, health centres etc. Investing in property means a long term decision so do not hesitate and ask as many question you want to ensure that you are completely satisfied.

3. Once you are sure that you are going to buy the house, get ready for the payment process. Initially you will have to pay an amount which is also known as down payment and then you will get some time to arrange the remaining money.

4. Next finish the transaction with the help of a solicitor. This process is usually lengthy and it might take a few weeks.

5. Today most of the banks provide loan and help people in investing in property. You can apply for loan but before you do that check the rate of interest they are charging and then apply for it. In Singapore, banks provide 70-80 percent loan on the purchase price to everyone, even the foreigners.

6. Now that the property is in your name you will have to pay property tax for its ownership. Make sure to pay it annually.
