SMEs are not strong as large scale enterprises. They may not have sufficient funds or they may need more manpower, they may need more advanced equipment to make the work on computer or through the internet.

SMEs may invest in advertisement which can not cost too much. They can not do advertisement as large companies to spread information on different media, such as public bus, radio, television, internet homepage ads etc.

SMEs lack resources of supply chain, a network chain covering information, logistics, capital controls, buying raw materials, making intermediate products and final products, and then the products could be sold to consumers through sales network.

SMEs need to integrate suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and terminal consumers’ resources.
In fact they can develop business on some e-business portals.
