These results were established by measuring results using the Functional Assessment Of Cancer Therapy - General or FACT - G scores. Bone pain is likely to reduce after radiation, but negative effects on HRQOL were established.

Radiation directly affected 4/5 FACT-G scores while pathologic fractures affected 2/5 FACT-G scores.
