Castors have been reporting for duty for over a century and a half and they have not let us down yet. Those tiny little wheels that are found on what seems to be a millions of heavy items making them easier to move from one place to another. These round marvels were the greatest invention since the wheel, or the fast food hamburger, there are legions of fans for both. One thing for sure, these miniature wheels have made our lives a lot easier and it is hard to imagine a world without them. The only ones who would have benefited had the castor not been invented would have been the back doctors and those who produce sore muscle remedies. However, have no fear; both areas are still striving even with the success of the castor.

One of the areas that Castors are widely used is in factories, warehouses and various construction sites. For example, these locations are typically found to utilize a variety of parts bins to store parts that are used on a regular basis. These bins often carry an immense amount of weight and need to be moved from one area to another as work is completed and new parts are needed. These tiny little wheels make the movement of these huge bins a process with very little effort expended. This may seem trivial in the huge scheme of life, unless of course you are the person assigned to take care of these tools and get them from one place to another. This person most definitely appreciates the castor and the fact that it has made their life easier.

Yes, the castor is probably framed and hanging on many a wall, right beside pictures of family, friends and major awards. Okay, maybe we are taking it a bit far, but the truth is these tiny round objects have really made a difference in many lives around the world. Take the rolling tool boxes for instance. Technicians and mechanics in various locations depend on their tool box to be close at hand for easy access. These tool boxes can be incredibly heavy and would cause a serious strain if they had to be moved without the Castors carrying the load. Today these huge tool boxes can be pushed effortlessly from one work area to another and those who depend on these tools to do their jobs are very thankful.

As you can easily presume the castor is a very helpful invention that has earned it's respect by taking the heavy load off of us and sparing many a sore back the oppression that back pain can spring upon us. The next time you are moving something heavy that is set upon these powerful little wheels think about it for a moment and we are sure you will be glad that the Castors reported for duty.
