Cerebrovascular disease is a group of brain dysfunctions allied to disease of the blood vessels supplying the brain. Hypertension is the most significant cause; it detriments the blood vessel lining, endothelium, uncovering the underlying collagen where platelets gather to initiate a repairing process which is not always absolute and perfect. Sustained hypertension permanently changes the architecture of the blood vessels making them narrow, deformed, stiff, uneven and more exposed to fluctuations in blood pressure. A fall in blood pressure during sleep can then direct to a marked minimization in blood flow in the narrowed blood vessels inducing ischemic stroke in the morning. Inversely an abrupt rise in blood pressure due to excitation during the daytime can induce tearing of the blood vessels resulting in intracranial hemorrhage. Cerebrovascular disease firstly influences people who are elderly or have a history of smoking, diabetes, or ischemic heart disease. The results of it can include a stroke, or sometimes a hemorrhagic stroke. Ischemia or other blood vessel abnormality can influence the person during a cerebrovascular accident. Causes: In a healthy, anatomical structure of the body, the carotid arteries constitute the main blood supply to the brain. After a stroke, voluntary control of the muscles may be lost, relying on the type of stroke the victim is experiencing. Strokes can also outcome from obstruction of an artery or due to a ruptured blood vessel. Embolism obstructs small arteries within the brain, causing abnormality to happen. Voluntary rupture of a blood vessel in the brain induces a hemorrhagic stroke. Another form of the disease includes aneurysms. In females with deficient collagen, the infirm branching points of arteries give rise to protrusions with a very thin covering of endothelium that can tear to bleed easily with minimal rise of blood pressure. This can also happen with defective capillaries induced by tissue cholesterol deposition particularly in hypertensive subjects with or without dyslipidemia. If bleeding happens in this procedure, the effect is a hemorrhagic stroke in the form of intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, or both. Symptoms: A cerebrovascular accident is obvious if the victim displays the following symptoms: •Dizzinessrn•Nausearn•vomitingrn•severe headachesrn•Head pressurern•Numbness within the limbsrn•Slurred speechrn•Vision lossrn•Loss of coordination rnHemorrhagic strokes may require surgery to relieve the pressure within the brain. Endovascular treatment, needs inserting a tube into the major artery. Strokes more frequently occur quickly without warning, with the following symptoms which often develop abruptly: •Difficulty walking or standing •Dizzinessrn•Loss of balancern•Loss of coordinationrn•Numbness in the face, arm or leg weakness, peculiarly on one side of the bodyrn•Confusion, difficulty speaking or understandingrn•Vision difficulty in one or both eyesrn•Serious headaches that have no known causern
