If we talk about female infertility, the most common reason is late marriages. In this competitive era, females are equally concerned about their career and education as of males. Due to higher studies and job, they delay their marriage. The increasing age of women can demote fertility in her early 30’s. However, in past years it was the point of concern but now it is possible to conceive a child in later age. Female infertility treatment has made it possible for a woman experiencing infertility. Following female infertility causes are: • Damaged or blocked fallopian tubes: If you have blocked or damaged fallopian tubes then your odds of pregnancy will get affected. This condition will stop uniting an egg and sperm with each other. As a result, not fertilization will lead to infertility. A fallopian tube is blocked or damaged due to pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic tuberculosis or previous surgery. • PCOS: It is the most common reason for female infertility. It occurs due to hormonal imbalance through which the ovulation process is affected. It is associated with insulin resistance, obesity etc. • Premature ovarian failure: It is also known as primary ovarian insufficiency which caused due to premature loss of eggs in female’s ovaries. As a result, the functioning of ovaries is affected and lowers estrogen production. • Endometriosis: Endometriosis is a condition that can affect the possibilities of becoming pregnant. Here, the tissue grows outside the uterus rather than inside. Due to the growth of tissue in other parts like fallopian tubes, the fertilization of egg and sperm is affected. Though the extra tissue can be surgically removed to unblock the way. • Unexplained infertility: This is the most frustrating condition when the cause of infertility is not easily detected. A bunch of several minor factors in a couple may result in unexplained infertility. If you are facing difficulty in conceiving then you should not delay for infertility treatment. Symptoms of female infertility: The major female infertility symptoms are the inability to conceive a baby. If you’re menstrual cycle is either too long or too short or absence of it then you may not be ovulating. Besides this, there could be no other sign of infertility in females. If you are experiencing this condition then you need to seek a doctor’s help. They will begin to test and suggest the appropriate treatment. Treatments of female infertility: Female infertility treatment is mainly based upon the cause, age and how long you have been struggling to conceive a child. Infertility is a complex issue which involves proper treatment and time commitments. The suggested treatment will be given to either restore fertility through surgery or medicine or to assist you in getting pregnant through assisted reproductive technology. Your doctor may suggest you fertility drugs to stimulate the ovaries. Apart from this, if you have issues like fibroids, endometriosis or blockage then surgery is suggested. If medication does not remain effective for you then assisted reproductive technology will help you to conceive. The doctor may suggest you IUI, IVF or ICSI depending upon your condition.
