CBSE schools seize the Top Admissions of Students in India

Coimbatore is the second largest city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu in south. It is the highest literacy rate city in India with 80%. In the latest survey done by TOI, a leading newspaper of India has published that the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) schools in Coimbatore are taking large number of students enrolments in year 2011- 2012. Many parents are having the notions that CBSE schools are preparing their students much better for competitive exams. Many entrance exams questions are based on NCERT books syllabus and the general knowledge which are used in CBSE syllabus. Till last year IGCSE and ICSE schools were gaining more admissions as compare to CBSE schools.

The differentiation of the syllabus in various boards made the parents puzzled so that they were more inclined to the CBSE board which is similar in all over the India. People were thinking the central board’s syllabus is more appropriate for their children studies over the state board syllabus.

Many parents are also finding difficulty while they are migrating to other states to get their ward enrolment there because IB and IGCSE boards are not even recognized in India. They are simply following the international curriculums in their schools but are not affiliated to any Indian or foreign boards of education, said by a local parent in Coimbatore.
