At some flooring stores you can get simple mosaic patterns that are attached to a backing material that will hold the tiles in place during the installation process.

When setting ceramic flooring it is done using mortar. After it has cured, the spaces that are between the tiles are filled in with grout, which is normally white. You can also get grout in several colors, which can enhance the pattern of the ceramic flooring. To help prevent staining and the absorption of moisture grout is normally sealed.

It is easy to maintain ceramic flooring by sweeping it regularly and then damp mopping afterward. Sweeping your ceramic floor helps to make sure that the dirt does not scratch the ceramic tiles. When damp mopping the floor use a product that the manufacture recommends, then rinse, and dry with a towel.
