Today cloud computing service has become a most widely accepted corporate web hosting solution and more than eight out of ten are using some form of it. It is basically the use of computing resources that are delivered as a service over a web. Due to it`s effectiveness, reliability and security features at low cost, positive research are being made to boost the advance cloud hosting service. Cloud hosting allows enterprises to get their applications up and running faster, with improved manageability and less maintenance. The technology enables firms to more rapidly adjust their resources in-order to meet fluctuating and unpredictable business demands. But the major challenge that the hosting industry is facing while implementing the cloud service is the data security. Since, the end users can access cloud-based applications through a web browser from both desktop or mobile at any time and from anywhere, the issue of data privacy is always there. In the era of cloud computing hosting, the compliance and regulation is a key factor when it comes to privacy of significant data. Since, countries are demanding that crucial data is housed inside their borders (due to security reasons), organizations must ensure that the professionals responsible for the safety of their data is armed with the right know-how to enforce regulation and compliance within the business. With people from every corner of an organization accessing the cloud data, the most important responsibility for security experts is to be updated with the regulations they need to adhere to. In many cases, one of the biggest threats to an organization's data breach, may be internally or due to some some cyber attack. Hence, preventative measures like data encryption and data masking solutions could be taken to protect the important data and information. But to do this a company need to fully understand the impact of a data leak to their business, along with how it could be happen, so that the right measures can be taken before. Generally while managing large amounts of information, the cheapest option is often to take data in a datacentre and put it in the cloud so that the return on investment is instantaneous. It is worth bearing in mind that the web hosting service providers managing these datacentres will be experts in data security. However, still the worry for companies is that they will lost control over data security. Hence, a robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) comes in play to resolve the issue. The application enables organizations to educate themselves for better understand and articulate their data security needs. Now, cloud computing hosting providers will in turn be able to have a tailored service, backed up with an SLA that puts concerns at rest. As technology continues to advance day by day, so do criminals continue to get smarter and the threats that exist for both company and customer data are increasing. Thus, it is necessary that organizations should avoid the data security pitfalls, in and out of the cloud server, and avoid becoming an easy target.
