Article Topic: Change

Welcome to 2011, our year of great exploit. Thanks for staying connected to lifeofvalue in 2010. In this New Year, we believe God for some giant steps. We are really excited and trust God for some adventurous moves that will deliver great exploits.
In the next few weeks we will be considering a few interesting topics on the subject of ’Change’. We hope you will find some inspirations as you follow us in this journey.
Change can be described as to make, transform or convert the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone: e.g to change one's name; to change one's opinion; to change the course of history.
We consider this a very timely topic as we launch into a New Year filled with so much promises, opportunities, hopes and aspirations. No matter where you are in the journey of life, we are all hoping to improve over whatever we achieved in 2010. Whatever 2010 had delivered, be it good, bad or ugly is now history. It is now part of our yesterdays and we cannot do much about it. However, whatever 2011 promises are still very and within our reach. “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending”.
The big questio
I will like to ask is, “What do you need to change”? For you to lay hold on the promises, the opportunities, the hopes and aspirations 2011 has to offer? One thing is certain, every one of us must change something to achieve a better result than what we had in 2010. To do the same thing over and over and expect a different result is a simple definition of madness. I do not believe any of us is mad or stupid, so we cannot operate at the same level we did in 2010 and expect a better result.
The changes each and every one will have to make will vary depending on where you are with respect to your goals, aspirations and pursuits and what your plans are for 2011. For those of us who made great strides in 2010 and achieved quantum results, the changes may be little steps in direction where we can improve over what we already achieved. Whereas for those who are not impressed with what they achieved in 2010, you may need to make some significant changes. Sometimes these are not big changes but many little changes that add up. According to Keri Russell, “Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.”

Your first challenge is to identify what the changes are. These could be as simple as changing your location, perceptions, attitude, life style, belief system, career, company of friends, etc. One thing is certain; many of the changes are most likely going to be tough. Like the old saying, ‘bad habits don’t die easily’ but if you truly desire great exploits in 2011, then “change” is not an option but a necessity.
In subsequent series we will be considering some other aspects of change. Be on the lookout.
