I didn’t realize when I was younger that what I ate had a great deal to do with how my body functioned. I understood that I needed to eat in order to survive, but I didn’t truly realize that it mattered until I found myself feeling totally wiped out day after day. I would wake up every morning, grab a bite to eat at the local fast food place on my way to work, head home and usually pick up something on the way home. I was eating, so I’d survive. It may not have been the best, but I never had the time to cook anything. By the end of that stint, I was feeling totally miserable every day after work, everything hurt and I just wanted to sleep. Eventually, I found out that there’s much more to eating than simply eating. What you eat does matter, a lot. If you think of your body as a machine, it makes a good deal of sense, and since your body is a machine when it’s broken down to its most basic parts, you need to take care of it. Just like any other machine, your body needs to be maintained, given the right parts and fuels to keep it running. Being the advanced machine that it is, your body can build most its own parts, but it needs the right raw materials and enough fuel to do so. By depriving your body of that, you’ll eventually cause it to start breaking down, and one of the first places that you’ll notice that break down is going to be in your back thanks to the onset of chronic lower back pain. Of course, you could ignore it by spending thousands of dollars each year on doctor visits and prescriptions and facet injections for back pain, or you could avoid painkillers for lower back pain
altogether (and the doctor), by simply eating right. In today’s world, this can seem difficult, and there are plenty of convenient ways to get food. You could stop by a fast food joint or pick up something ready-made at the local grocer. However, often times, these foods are full of everything you don’t need, simply to keep you going. What you really need to be eating is a combination of the right vitamins and minerals, as well as complex carbohydrates and protein. The vitamins and minerals, as well as the protein, give your body what it needs in order to rebuild its old parts including your muscles. Rebuilding these muscles can help you to avoid a lot of pain, including the chronic l5 back pain
many of us suffer. Complex carbohydrates will provide more energy slowly so that your body has the fuel it needs to complete all of the complex processes as you go about your day and it goes about rebuilding you. By feeding your body the right foods, you’re going to save yourself a great deal of pain, money and time in the long run as you’ll feel more energetic, be able to do more, and spend less time at your doctors or taking painkillers for lower back pain and your other aches.
