Hindus in the globe and this pilgrimage in the state of Uttaranchal holds an importance for them. The Char dham means the 4 destinations and these have a value in Hinduism. The Hindus prefer to cover these destinations once in the life and the reason for this is the spiritual upliftment and the cleansing of the sins. Uttaranchal is a beautiful belt of the northern India and the four major spots are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. These four belts have the significance of their own but one feels the complete significance of the pilgrimage only if he covers all the 4 spots in a particular order India is a destination of spiritual relevance and the people from the different regions of the world come to unlock the deep mysteries hidden in the most ancient religion of the world.
The first spot in the char dham yatra is the Yamunotri and it is the place of the origination of river Yamuna. Yamuna is a place of relevance for the Hindus and it is said that the dip in the historical river is said to clean the sins of the individual. Come and enjoy a dip in the Yamunotri ghat and these are the moments of spiritual relevance. The Yamunotri is transformed into river Yamuna and this is the river on whose banks Lord Krishna used to play the flute and play with the beautiful gopis. From Yamunotri, one can proceed to the second destination called Gangotri. This is the spot of a great relevance and is the origin of the river Ganges. The river is considered to be the holiest in the country and is said to have come down straight from the other world. Lord Shiva and river Ganges are related to each other and it is said that the river gushed from heaven with a thrust and was capture in the hair locks of lord Shiva to reduce the thrust. Ganga is a pious river and flows through the various Hindu pilgrim centers.
After having the dip in the holy river Ganges, one has the chance to move to move to Kedarnath and this is a region where one finds the grace of lord Shiva. Come and enter the wonderful temple of Kedarnath and this is located at the backdrop of the snow clad mountain ranges. Kedarnath is also called as the Shiv Bhumi and one can find the Sandhus with the chillams and the locked hairs and it is really a nice experience of spirituality. The fourth spot of relevance is Badrinath and this is the place of Lord Badri. This is a form of lord Vishnu. It is said that Shankaracharya planted berries in the region and thus the name Badrinath.
