Decorating your kid’s bedroom in a way that is a fun and inspiring way for your child to express them self, but it also can be quite a challenge. And it is an even greater challenge when you have to decorate a bedroom shared by two of your kids. Even if you have identical twins, the chances of the two kids having the same style and first choice of childrens bedding or other aesthetic aspects of a room, is pretty slim.

You can try the age-old method of drawing a line along the middle of the room and letting each kid decorate his or her side the way they want. But it creates quite a challenge as well as it can really create a mish mash of styles, which doesn’t give an overall cohesive appearance. It is not to say the kids cannot divide the room, but it probably is not the best solution.

You will have better results if you follow a few simple guidelines when it comes to childrens bedding and other decorating accessories. Do not just let your kids pick out any old bedding designs because you never know what you may end up with. Before you start the process, have them agree on the color of the bedding each would like to incorporate into their designs. You should stop your participation in the room-decorating process there. From the mutual choice of the color palette, they should be allowed to express themselves by choosing the rest of the accessories. They’ll pick the accessories based on their interests. As an example, you may have sons that think of nothing but sports. They can find rugs or childrens bedding that has footballs, baseballs or soccer balls or whatever their sports preference is on it or perhaps flowers, princesses or unicorn bedding on it if you have girlie girls.

No matter what type of theme or color scheme your kids choose to go with for their room, you can find it at Visio
Bedding.com. Visio
Bedding is a unique and ingenious company that has pioneered the personalization of childrens bedding, wall murals, kids rugs as well as other household décor. You could make your own poster with pictures of you and the kids and coordinate the bedroom ensemble with custom childrens bedding.

The most important thing to keep in mind when redecorating a bedroom shared by both of your kids is that the room does not have to match in order to be perfect. Perfect is often in the eye of the beholder and when it comes to children’s personal space, as long as your kids are happy, most parents are happy too.
