Healthy eating should be a normal activity for each person every day, but this may be difficult to do on a regular basis. In order to eat healthy you need to make the right food choices, what you eat directly affects your body.Making good food choices are essential for quick results in effective weight loss.
Here is a brief overview of what dietary foods you need for each day.Try to get a lot of colors on the plate every day.
Whole grains - you have to eat about 6 grams per day of grain.This includes whole grain cakes, pasta and rice.
Vegetables - five to six servings a day is recommended especially dark vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprouts and spinach. Carrots and sweet potatoes are excellent choices along with beans either dried or canned, if using beans from a can rinse well to remove any excess salt.
Fruits - Try to eat fresh fruit when possible as the whole fruit has more vitamins and minerals compared to drinking fruit juices. Fruit juices tend to have more sugar so be careful on the amount that you consume.Limit one banana a day and the grapes are especially great to have frozen. They make a good sweet treat.
Milk - Go for skim or 1% milk when possible, around 2 servings a day is good and helps older woman with preventing osteoporosis.Low-fat yogurt can be substituted if you do not drink milk.Broccoli is another excellent source of calcium.
Protein oz - 4 per day of any red meat, 6 ounces of chicken or turkey and allow up to eight ounces of fresh fish daily.Always try to bake or grill the meat and remove any excess fat.
When cooking try to limit the amount of fat or oil you add to your cooking pot.While the reduction to half of what we currently use provides a big profit.Olive oil is the best option and is ideal for adding flavor to your meals.
