Consider a practical scenario, when you try to mount Access 2003 database and you get disastrous error message like:
Error Message: “Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
Cause to Inflict Error: While working on MS Access smoothly, if one day you are flinched with error mentioned above then possibly it occurred owing to damage in program code and bug in Access. This error message make data stored in.mdb files completely inaccessible
Some Solutions:
*
‘Compact and Repair’ Inbuilt Utility: In such a case, you can use free inbuilt utility from Microsoft like ‘Compact and Repair’. With this utility, you can repair entire damaged data stored in.mdb file or.accdb files. Though this free utility is available but there is no guarantee for perfect results with this utility. It is time-consuming and technical to use, so try to avoid this utility completely. Also, if you database is large and corruption case is utterly severe then this method fails.
* Backup Data: To get relieved from corruption in.mdb files, backup data is the most helpful way that you can provide to yourself. However, if you are deprived from backup data then commercial help is the last way left for you.
* Create New Database: If you create a new database and transfer old database to a new one, you can save your data. Given below are steps for the same:
1. First click, ‘File Option’, Choose ‘Get External Data’
2. Choose ‘Import’
3. You find Import dialog box, click MS Access and select any of the file format from these file formats .ade, .mda, .adp, .mdb or .mde.
4. After this choose drive and folder in ‘Look in’ box
5. Select file and select ‘Import’ and select Access components that you want to import
6. Press OK
7. Pile up all the imported modules to new Access database
