Do any research and you will quickly find that thousands of companies with products ranging from home goods to beauty supplies to health and fitness inundate the market. They all seem to offer the greatest products at the best prices with the best support system. And of course, no one can beat their compensation plan and bonus programs. You’ve heard it all countless times and by now I’m sure you are completely overwhelmed and frustrated with what seems like false promises or hype. I’m here to help you sort through the mess and give you back the confidence you need in choose a network marketing company that best suits you and your needs. Because the truth is that there are some truly great home-based businesses out there that can provide ample opportunities for you and your family. The question is: where do you start to sort through the mess? First, let’s focus on what you SHOULD NOT listen to when it comes to choosing a network marketing company. If you hear any of the following lines, be aware that either it is completely bogus or has a catch. You won’t have to do any work. Our business is completely built for you and ready to run.rnYou won’t have to do any recruiting. Your sponsor does it for you.rnI will place people under you for your benefit.rnEverything can absolutely be done from the computer. You will never have to pick up a phone or talk to people face to face.rnMoney and checks will just come streaming in every week. Like I said, if someone makes one or all of these claims, run. While yes it is possible to have people placed under you or do a great deal of marketing on the computer or have weekly pay cycles, all of these things will require work on your part. This is where many people fall prey to the hype. A home-based business still very much involves work and you must be willing to mentally commit yourself to treating your opportunity as a business if you want to see results. Now on to the FOUR main keys to look for when choosing a network marketing company: 1. Compensation Plan Let’s be honest. Yes you are likely looking for a network marketing company to provide you with more time and freedom, but the bottom line is that inrnorder to have that time and freedom, you need to make a profit and eventually a comfortable income. Be sure to fully read over a compensation plan yourself and don’t be afraid to ask your upline or other people in your company questions. Really find out what you need to do to produce the kind of income that you desire. Find out the kind of success others are having in your company. Does the compensation plan allow you to truly create a decent income? How does the structure compensate you for recruiting distributors as opposed to customers. 2. Timing While this one may not be the most important, timing can be a huge factor for a lot of people. Often times when you get into a company too early on, there is a high chance that company might not be around for many years. Due to the high failure rate of MLM companies, you are taking a larger risk when you join as soon as the start up. On the other end of the spectrum you have companies that have been around for many years and build solid reputations. Although this may seem like a good reason to join, you might find yourself having difficulty gaining traction and creating results due to the larger distributor base. Then you have the companies in the 5-7 year range which are often in what is called the momentum phase. If you are someone who has struggled to create results in a network marketing company before, consider researching a company in this phase as you have increased chances of riding on the waves of their success and momentum. 3. Solid Product Behind every great network marketing company is a solid product with a loyal customer base. The truth is that if a potential company you are interested in joining only pushes recruiting distributors, then it is not going to be a great business for you to join, Customers are the lifeline of any strong business. And to attract committed customers there must be a great product in line that keeps them satisfied. The product line should also be something that aligns with your values because as is often said, you need to be a product of the product. Believe in what you sell and the sales will continue to grow. Look for a company that values their customers as much as they value their distributors. 4. A simple system that can be duplicated This final factor is probably one of the most important, especially if you are someone who is brand new to the industry. Choosing the right network marketing company means finding one with a system that is easily followed and duplicated. This means that you should be able to join a company and immediately start taking the same actions that your upline did in order to create results. For example, many companies have a getting started training that walks every new member through a step by step process to begin their marketing efforts. The system can also include a personalize company website and training calls that help you become a better leader. Use these four guidelines in addition to your personal intuition and I have no doubt you will have no difficult choosing a network marketing company that suits your personal needs and fulfills your passions. Remember, you want to create a long-term stable business that creates passive income for your future, so always choose quality over the hype.
