That is why it is important for the companies and individuals to choose the right Website Development Company. With so many Web Development Services available in the market, it becomes difficult to choose the right one. Business owners may not be doing the website programming on their own but they must have the basic information and knowledge to decide one which is the best among all the web programming languages in the market. The better the website will be the more are the chances of getting business for the company. There is always a scope of debate about the best programming language for Website Development and you will find different people having different opinions.

It is important to select the right technology but it may not be difficult. It is important to make a list of the popular website development languages and then select the best out of them.

The languages for web server are-

  • Java
  • .NET(C# and VB.NET)
  • PHP
  • Python
  • Ruby on Rails

The companies that use the Microsoft software on the servers would find .NET with C# and VB.NET the better opt. This will help the businesses to have better consistency across all the systems and thus it is easy for the businesses to have support and expertise and integration is easier.

The website development can be done in any of the programming languages listed above and those web applications can run well on the Microsoft Windows interface. If the company has to use Linux, Mac or UNIX platforms then .NET is not recommended at all. This would create complications and thus the cost would be increased for the businesses. The other languages apart from .NET are recommended for Linux, UNIX, and Mac platforms. Availability of skill sets currently and in future is important to choose the best programming language for business website development.

How many people would use the business applications?

The number of people using the business applications at a time would determine which programming language to use for website development. When the Website Development Company gets the project to designing, creating and implementing the business website then they first talk to the business owners and employees to understand the business processes to design the best and most creative website for the business. For the large scale applications, scalable software should be used. Only .Java and .NET could provide the scalability to an application. For any business application that gets used heavily, .Java is the best option as .NET would be expensive and would be little difficult.

Complexity of the Web application:

For the business website development that needs lots of complex logic and back end processing, .Java or .NET is the best choice. These programming languages help the business applications to integrate with other systems better. If extensive logic, back end processing and integration are not needed then other languages like PHP or Python could be used.

Money is another issue. If the budget is the constraint then having PHP or Python is the better choice but nowadays businesses are getting their application developed with Java and .NET because they are scalable even if they are little expensive.
