There are various ways people celebrate both the occasions but what is common when it comes to celebrating Christmas is the tree brought in every home. Its green color and spruce aroma tends to spread all over the place. The feel of the times when Christmas is knocking at the door is somewhat magical with white carpet in the form of snow covers the entire place and chilling winds yet cannot melt the warmth of excitement. This excitement is all about celebrating Christmas with our near and dear ones. The truth behind celebrating this occasion is the promise that it brings. It is the promise to spread love and also showing care for those who mean a lot to us. It is not about handing out expensive and exotic gifts to each other but truly exhibit the feeling of love and respect and most importantly being there when needed. No one can deny that above all the materialistic things, it is only and only love that we all long for.

Christmas, which is the time representative of time when the Savior was born, was put by the Church fathers at near the time of traditional winter solstice. Unconsciously or consciously, we do undergo the gyration of birth and death which goes on endlessly. More than anything, it remains important to understand that spiritual significance of the occasions where Christmas is to be celebrated and then a new year is to be welcomed in the best way possible. As far as welcoming the New Year is concerned, it is always best to do so in the best of spirits and do positive things so that the new times bring some optimistic changes in your life. For the upcoming year although making resolutions is good but it is essential that you determine to follow them in every possibilities. Wishing each other on these special occasions with greeting cards is one good way since you get to write your heart out and speak out your feelings for your loved ones, to touch their hearts with your emotions and feelings via messages.
