You probably heard of a cloud PBX, however you probably are wondering what the technology can really bring you and if it is really that good then why not all businesses are deploying it? Well for starters, the system is indeed a cost effective technology but the unknown factor is becoming a blunder for some businesses. But slowly and surely, statistics show that more and more businesses are trying it out and projections revealed that VoIP will reach an unreal $35 billion mark within the next three years. Feature Overload A cloud PBX system offers more feature than any other traditional business phone system but the best part is that it can be custom programmed according to what your business requires. For an instance an IVR can be programmed to behave differently in different times of the day, saying good morning in the morning, good afternoon in the afternoon and automatically be set in out of hours after your operations. Like mentioned above it will depend on your requirements, the system can easily be customized. Apart from typical features, a cloud PBX system also has features that a conventional PBX can never offer and that is multiple location and follow me, this means that you can locate any of your extension to any location in the world and still work as part of the entire enterprise as if it is in the same office and the latter means that you can integrate all your phone numbers, including mobile phones to the system and ring it sequentially until you pick up from either number so you’ll never miss a call ever again. Cost Effective Deploying a cloud phone can be really cheap since it is virtual or online you do not need bulky and expensive hardware, all that you need is an Internet connection, and networking device and IP handsets (which is optional since you can use soft phones) and you are good to go. Apart from low setup cost most VoIP providers do not charge a monthly fee for the features unlike most traditional carriers, for example you want a menu system then you only have to pay for the programming cost then that’s it, no monthly fee for keeping the feature. Reliability and Security Most people associate VoIP with unreliability and unsecure calling, however the truth is it more difficult for any hacker to hack into a VoIP phone than to a traditional PBX, you have to go encryption and deciphering the digital data which you cannot unless you are an expert engineer in the field. As for reliability well it is true that during the inception of the technology it has been very difficult for it to triumph because of the poor internet connection of the time but today with the breakthrough and innovation of ADSL and 4G services acquiring a stable connection is very easy.

Yet behind every call that connects and every message that reaches its destination, there is another system quietly working in the background. That system is the call center.
