Numerous technologies have arise in the telecommunications industry but only a handful of technologies have addressed the growing demands of the industry and one of it is the VoIP industry and its proprietary the cloud PBX system, statistic revealed the cloud PBX usage has rapidly grown from almost nothing a few years ago to millions of users worldwide making it one of the fastest growing industry not only in telecommunications but in any sector. By simply browsing the Internet you can get a lot of information about cloud PBX systems but the tons of information may be overwhelming however the concept of the technology is very simple, cloud PBX stands for an Internet telephony meaning instead of running the telephone calls on standard copper lines it will be routed over the Internet and phones will function just about the same way a traditional telephone will work. The only difference between the two is that cloud PBX systems are more affordable and are more feature rich compared to the latter. Key Features One of the strongest features of the technology is the ability to connect businesses or offices together within a single enterprise. Let’s say you have offices across the United States or even cross countries, you can transfer calls from point A to point B without any additional cost to you or the caller, it is just like transferring a call within a single building. Also by using the system sophisticated menu system you can run multiple businesses using a single phone number, if a call comes through the caller will prompt to choose which business to call by pressing 1, 2 or 3 depending on the number of businesses you will incorporate and the system will automatically notify you which business the caller is calling. Just how smart is that? Another strong point of cloud PBX/a> is the ability to generate virtual numbers, let’s say you want a New York number or a Boston number the service provider can generate it for you without having an actual office in that area so customers can call you without being hindered by long distance charges. The flexibility of the system is also another strong point of the system, you can easily add or remove lines depending on how your business is evolving, phone lines or telephone channels can be added just by notifying your service provider with no upgrades needed so you can handle all the concurrent phone calls that you might come across. Ultimately businesses will further benefit from smart features that will make telephony a lot easier. Website integration, fax to email, voicemail to email, direct extension number, group hunt, call queue, automated receptionist and many more.
