Our minds are like high performance race engines. They nhave the ability to take us anywhere we want to go at namazing speed.nnBut sadly most of us haven't done the necessary nmaintenance and tune ups to enable our minds to operate nefficiently.nnThere are three reasons this can happen.nn1. Laziness. Some of us know what to do, but we're neither too lazy or lack the discipline to do what's nnecessary to keep our minds at peak efficiency.nn2. We don't believe in our potential or the awesome power nof our minds.nn3. We don't know the 7 Secrets Of High Performance nThinking.nnIn this report I'm revealing the 7 Secrets Of High nPerformance Thinking. I'm taking away any excuses you nhave for not Thinking Like A Winner.nnAs you start putting the 7 secrets to work for you, nyou'll notice the effects are geometric.nnEach technique will be multiply the effectiveness of the nothers.nnOnce you've started using all seven you'll be amazed at nhow powerful your mind can be.nnNo realistic goal will be beyond your grasp.nnSo what are the 7 Secrets Of High Performance Thinkers?nnnSecret Number 1 RelaxationnnHigh Performance Thinkers have learned to use the power nof Relaxation.nnThey know that stress impairs their ability to perform nand that it's better to take a break when they are nfeeling fatigued or frustrated.nnIf you'd like to perform at your optimum levels, nschedule daily periods of relaxation exercises.nnYou can meditate or listen to soothing music or tapes.nnIf you're always at the computer like I am, you can take na short jog, or do some exercise.nnIn essence you should do the opposite of what your daily ntasks are.nnIf you’re a laborer you would relax by finding something nthat stimulates your mind.nnIf your daily routine involves a lot of thinking or nsitting at a desk, break up your day with some physical nexercise.nnOnce you've learned to harness the power of relaxation, nyou'll find reaching your goal so much easier.nnMake relaxation a part of your daily routine.nnnSecret Number 2 VisualizationnnAny task we attempt is easier if we are relaxed, nespecially mental conditioning.nnVisualization is a powerful tool when combined with nrelaxation.nnMany individuals say they are unable to visualize or ncreate pictures in their minds.nnThat's not really true.nnThey visualize, but because they haven't practiced ncontrolling their mental pictures, they see what they nwant to avoid rather than what they want to accomplish.nnYour mind absorbs what you input and that's why so many nof your fears come true.nnYou can either control your mental pictures or they nwill control you.nnYou will be drawn to any picture you hold long enough nin your minds eye.nnIf you want to become prosperous and successful, you nmust take control of the movies you play in your mind.nnThe first step is to make visualizing your more nsuccessful, prosperous self a daily habit.nnWhen you first begin to practice seeing yourself in a nnew light, your rational mind will rebel and the doubts nwill creep in.nnYou'll only be able to hold your mental pictures for nshort periods of time.nnAs your practice continues you will be able to hold nthe pictures for longer periods of time and you'll be nable to view them in greater detail.nnIf you're wondering if it's worth the effort, I'd like nto give you an example of how powerful visualization is.nnWhen Ali was preparing for his fight against Foreman, nthe "experts" gave him little chance of winning.nnForeman was younger, bigger, stronger and hit like a nmule.nnSo what did Ali do?nnHe went to his training camp and avoided reading all nnegative stories about his impending defeat.nnHe not only began physically training for the fight, he nbegan mentally rehearsing his reactions to being hit by nForeman.nnAli knew that there was a possibility of being knocked nunconscious during the fight, but how would he handle nit?nnHe began mentally training his body to wrap his arms naround Foreman and clinch as soon as he felt himself nbegin to lose consciousness.nnThe night of the fight his mental training paid off.nnIn Ali's own words he admitted there were times in that nfight when he was literally out on his feet.nnThe only thing that saved him from defeat was his nvisualization exercises.nnEach time he was hit hard enough to be knocked nunconscious, his body took over and held onto Foreman nlong enough for Ali to regain his senses.nnThat night history was made, through the power of nVisualization.nnAre you ready to make history?nnnSecret Number 3 Self TalknnSo far we've discussed relaxation and visualization. nNow we're going to talk about autosuggestion n(Self talk).nnAutosuggestion is the simplest of the 7 secrets.nnIt's also my favorite.nnIt's simply talking to yourself. You pick a habit or nquality you wish to acquire and repeat it to yourself nover and over.nnIt's my favorite technique, because it literally changed nmy life.nnDon't shrug it off.nnIt may appear simple, but it's oh so powerful.nnI was in my late 40's, my business had gone bust and my nhealth was shot.nnI saw no way out.nnI just knew the odds were against my ever getting out nof the situation I found myself in.nnBroke, the clock ticking and unable to work.nnWell as the song says, if you ain't got nothin, you nain't got nothin to lose.nnSince I had nothing to lose, I started using anutosuggestion.nnI admit it. I talked to myself.nnLuckily I was alone when I did it, or I'm sure they'd nhave thrown the old net over me.nnI wasn't even sure it would work, but I did it anyway.nnIt was nothing fancy, just two sentences I repeated, nday in and day out.nnThe first sentence was, "I am a lot more creative than nI ever imagined."nnThe second was, "I have an unlimited number of creative nideas in my subconscious."nnSo what happened?nnAt 50 years old I've been given a second chance.nnI've gone from throwing in the towel and preparing to nlead what Walden called a life of quiet desperation, to nmaking my living as a writer.nnI can work from anywhere.nnI make money doing something I love.nnIf autosuggestion isn't powerful, I don't know what is.nnIt's changed my life.nnnSecret Number 4 Goal SettingnnGoal setting is actually an extension of our survival nmechanism.nnAll living things have survival mechanism. From the tree, nwhose leaves turn toward the sky before a rain to the nbirds who, fly to warmer climates during the winter.nnBut as men and women we have an advantage. Plants, nanimals and insects have no control over the direction ntheir lives take.nnIt's preset for the survival of their species. We on nthe other hand have the ability to take part in the nshaping of our destinies. We can choose our path.nnOur ability to think of the future and set goals gives nus the ability to be the captains of our fates and the nshapers of our destiny. Sadly most of us tend to shrug noff the power of setting goals and our lives end up nbeing tossed to and fro like a ship in a storm.nnOur high powered minds are programmed to help us nachieve success, but we give it no direction. We ride naround with this high performance engine between our nears, and never take off the emergency brake.nnIf you truly want to become a high performance thinker, nyou should set goals that get you excited. Your goals nshould be big enough to motivate you, while still being nbelievable.nnDon't mistake daydreams for goals.nnDon't mistake what will make others happy, for a goal nthat will get you excited.nnIt has to be your goal.nnStart setting believable, achievable goals. Set a time nlimit on accomplishing your goals and set higher goals neach time an old goal has been achieved.nnSet up a reward system for achieving your goals on time.nnMake reaching your goals a game, a treasure hunt.nnIf you've got time to root for your favorite sports team, nyou have time to start rooting for you.nnSetting and achieving your goals is the real Super Bowl.nnMake yourself the MVP of your life.nnnSecret Number 5 Whole Brain ThinkingnnThe fifth secret of high performance thinking is learning nto think with both sides of your brain. High performance nthinkers are whole-brained thinkers.nnMost of us have one side of our brains dominant. If the nleft side is dominant we tend to be more logical. If our nright side is more dominant we tend to be more Intuitive.nnA prime example would be what we label as women's intuition. nFor some reason we find it more acceptable for women to use ntheir intuition and we expect men to be more analytical.nnThe true high performance thinkers are as comfortable nsetting down detailed plans for accomplishing their goals nas they are at thinking outside the box and coming up nwith a new way of seeing and doing things.nnThe true skill is to be able to use either side at will.nnIt's sad to see how many writers, artists and inventors nhave historically ended up broke, when all they would have nneeded was to use a little more of their left brain logic.nnAt the other end of the spectrum, you can find many nbusinesses going under because they fall behind their ncompetitors who are willing to use their right brain nskills and intuit coming change.nnTo operate at maximum efficiency, you must learn to be na balanced thinker.nnYou not only need to know how to use both sides of your nbrain, you must know when to use your rational analytical nskills and when to be more intuitive.nnYou should develop your reasoning and research skills, nwhile allowing enough flexibility to follow your hunches.nnIf you study many of our top executives you'd find they nhave two major traits in common.nn1. They are goal setters. (left brain)nn2. They credit much of their success to following their nhunches. (right brain)nnBottom line.nnThey are whole brain thinkers.nnYour brain is a marvelous creation. Don't waste either nhalf.nnUse it all.nnBecome a whole brain thinker and you'll be ahead of your ncompetition.nnnSecret Number 6 Humor and PleasurennThe Taoist's have a saying, "The Journey is the reward."nnHigh performance thinkers exemplify that remark.nnThey pick their profession, not because of the money they nexpect to make, but because of the joy it brings them.nnIn the words of J. Paul Getty, they've learned to thrive non the pressure.nnThey don't see what they do as do or die.nnThey've learned to laugh at themselves and try not to ntake things too seriously.nnWhat others may consider a problem, they consider a nchallenge.nnTheir sense of humor and ability to enjoy their work nincreases as their abilities increase.nnMany times they spend long hours on a task not because nthey feel a need to work hard, but because they have so nmuch fun at what they do.nnWhen we find joy in doing what we love, time flies by nin the blink of an eye.nnIf you're ready to be a high performance thinker, learn nto laugh more.nnFind work that gives you joy.nnStop looking at the task at hand as a struggle. View it nas a magnificent game.nnTo the high performance thinker, there is no line between nwork and play. His work is his passion.nnIn the sports world it's called being in the zone. High nperformance thinkers perform in the same manner.nn* They are acting in the moment.nn* They have no doubts.nn* Time almost stands still.nn* They are focused to the point that outside influences nare literally blocked out.nnStop trying so hard and start enjoying the process.nnnSecret Number 7 The Subconscious MindnnThe first six secrets were the blocks building up to the nreal secret behind high performance thinking.nnHigh performance thinkers recognize the awesome power of ntheir subconscious mind.nn* Relaxationnn* Visualizationnn* Autosuggestionnn* Goal Settingnn* Whole-Brained Thinkingnn* HumornnAll of the above are designed to help you unleash the nawesome power of your subconscious mind.nnThe subconscious has been called the sleeping giant.nnIt's like a big bear hibernating during the winter.nnIt's waiting for you to wake it so it can do its work.nnAll systems of mental conditioning from Silva MindnControl and NLP to the mystical traditions such as Yoga nand the Martial Arts are designed to take us beyond our ncultural conditioning.nnThey are all designed to help us realize that there is nmore to high performance thinking than our logical nanalytical thinking.nnHunches, intuition etc. are the results of our subconscious nworking behind the scenes.nnIn the words of Maxwell Maltz, "Within you right now is nthe power to do things you never dreamed possible. This npower becomes available to you just as you can change your nbeliefs."nnThat power to make your dreams come true is your nsubconscious mind.nnMaybe it's time you woke the sleeping giant and put it to nwork for you.nnWishing You Success,nJohn Colanzi
