Emotional eating can briefly be said to be the characteristic of resorting to food to pacify yourself in times of emotional problems. Eating due to emotional issues is a fairly common cause of gaining pounds and it may become a bigger crisis because the gaining of weight itself can become an emotional issue which causes even more emotional eating.

The massive obstacle that those affected by emotional eating have to face is the problem that there is not much that may be done to fight the extra pounds successfully. The usual methods of weight loss simply don’t function that good due to the compulsion to comfort oneself with food in emotional turmoil overtakes the desire to get slim.
Calorie restrictive diets mostly is a huge disaster. It may appear as if all is on track when you initially embark on a recognised diet but as soon as a problem surfaces you take console in food. Now you understand that you’ve just failed your diet and additional guilty feelings and stress emerges resulting in you again find comfort in food.

Dieting Supplements to reduce your appetite also don’t help. You eat to pacify emotional stress, not because you your stomach is rumbling. Even the best appetite suppressing supplement won’t hinder you from gourging yourself the minute a problem surfaces.

Following the usual slimming methods to attempt to lose weight caused by emotional eating can be compared to the individual who attempts to keep his weeds in their lawn under control by using a lawn mower to trim them. Within a fews days after the weeds are mown are once again growing back and each and every occasion that you mow the weeds they appear to appear back faster and larger than they were before.

In order to get rid of the weeds forever you must extract the roots. immediately the root is removed the weed may never come back again. With emotional eating you must remove the root cause of the problem. Once you have eliminated the root the symptoms of extra weight will also be eliminated forever.
