Common Written Exam By IBPS

Today, a large mass of youth s inclined towards bank as a career choice. They are aware of the continous rise in the success rate of the banking sector and the variety of job opporunitites it has to offer. Another major advantage that the banks offer is that they allow entry of candidates from any academic background, if they have the minimum percentage required to apply for the bank exams. Unlike other career choices, which require a science background or a commerce stream, banks welcome all the academic streams and treat them equally. Institute of Banking Personnel is an autonomous organization that has taken the responsibity of recruiting candidates for various posts in public sector banks of India. It has recently introduced the common written exam which would be commenced in 2011. This exam would recruit individuals for the post of bank po for 19 public sector banks of India.
The common written exam has taken the procedure of recruitment by these renowned banks to another level. It aims at providing a platform common to all the 19 banks involved which would be recruiting individuals based on the result of common written exam. It is not only a medium to conduct exams but also a platform for the top-notch banks of India to communicate with each other and share friendly relations. A lot of problem has bene noticed during the time of recruitments, when everything is done in a haste. Since banking sector is highly coveted, the strength of the applicants is in thousands, which makes it troublesome for the banks to recruit the best candidates. However, IBPS is an efficent organization. It has its offices spread throughout India which work on international models for recruitment. It has ensured, that with its strong faculty and large team of employees it can successfully conduct CWE on such a large scale. 19 public sector banks have volunteered to be a part of this exam. The results of the candidates would be presented to them in the form of scorecards. If any vacancy for the post of bank po arises in any of the 19 banks involves, the candidate can show the scorecared and gain direct entry into to the interview round.
Thus, CWE by IBPS has made it much easier for the banks to recruit indivudals and would ensure the entry of the most qualified candidate for the post. The exam would be conducted in October in 2011.
