Banks play an important role in our lives. They provide us monetary help when required and also ensure that are money is secured in safe hands. They guide us on making the best use of money and gaining maximum benefit. However, in order to increase its customers, a bank needs to gain their trust. Trust can only be gained with the quality of services provided to its customers by the bank. This requires a strong team of bank personnel who carry out various functions in the bank. Therefore, banks ensure that the best candidate is recruited for the job. There is a large variety of jobs offered by the banks. Bank po and bank clerk top the list. Every student dreams to be a part of it because of the handsome salary it offers. IBPS is an autonomous body established to conduct examinations for public banks. In 2011, for the first time, it has received mandates to conduct common written exams for the post of bank po. IBPS is an efficient body which has conducted many exams in the past through its vast network of offices spread throughout the country. It is a strong team of trained professionals in various fields. They conduct examinations for the recruitment in public sector banks. It also provides a growing atmosphere to the candidates and helps them make a career choice. Other than outsourcing, the also support promotion inside the organization. Its efforts have been appreciated by everybody and it aims to grow higher. Its idea to conduct common written examinations has finally turned fruitful. After many discussions, in 2011, for the first time, common written exams will be conducted for the post of bank probationary officer. It will include 10 public sector banks which include Allahabad bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank, Canada Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Dena Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Syndicate Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank, UCO Bank , Vijaya Bank, Union bank. Bank syllabus is similar for all the banks which would be provided by IBPS. Candidates who clear the exams can later show their score card to the banks when the vacancy arises. Thus, it provides a common platform to candidates who can reach their goal without bias and purely on their knowledge and skills. With the introduction of Common written exam, bank recruitment for various banks have become easier and less time consuming. Whenever there is a vacancy, they can recruit candidates on based on their performance in the CWE. The exam will be held in later months of the year, 2011. Since the syllabus would be the same for every candidate, there would not be much variations in the scores.
