Hair on the head is no doubt an asset for those who are more conscious of their appearance. It goes more with women since they are more conscious of their appearance and regard hair as their treasure. Women are sure to lose sleep when they find severe hair loss. However, women are more fortunate than men since total hair loss or male pattern baldness is not common in women, it is mostly attributed to men. When every simple option fails to restore hair, we have the hair transplant cosmetic surgery that can rescue us and we once again can enjoy hair on our once hairless scalp. Hair transplant is a surgical process that helps us get back the lost hair and our appearance. There are so many benefits of hair transplantation but as with any other surgical procedure, there are some complications associated with this surgery. Hair loss is a natural phenomenon but hair transplantation is not, and there should naturally be some disadvantages in doing so. Fortunately, whatever known complications are there, they are not of serious nature. Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that can produce scars on the donor and transplanted areas. If due precautions are taken, the scarring can be made much less visible. Hyper pigmentation of the scar is also possible and it is common. If so, the area should not be exposed to the sun for a considerable period. Pimples and cysts can occur around the recipient area. When this happens, certain medications have to be given to control the complication. Those who undergo hair transplantation can experience swelling and occasional pain. Again, certain medicines can help the matter. If you are mentally prepared and follow the instructions carefully, you will be able to avoid, or at least minimize, the complications. Moreover, the procedure has to be done properly and this necessitates that the surgeon should have enough experience in such surgical operations. Prior to the surgery, the surgeon will determine your medical conditions and check many things before you will be deemed fit for the surgery. Your past medical history will be evaluated carefully before you will be given a go ahead with the surgery. Hair transplantation is a sure way to get back smile on many faces. When the procedure is done properly and when all the precautions are taken seriously, many potential side effects or risks can be minimized. Whatever discomfort one may experience, won’t be serious.
