Content Management Systems Used In Web Design
Content management systems are utilized in the organization of a professional web design team. The gratification of web design is not only in the end product, but also in the excitement of a design team coming together and focusing on what the customer who will actually use the site wants and needs. It is a creative process based in technical expertise, but the ultimate pleasure comes from seeing a customer rave about the new web presence that will become part of the customer's brand. There are many components that contribute to successful content management systems.
Each web design team typically has a project manager, developers, designers and sometimes a geek or two that know a lot about many things. The project manager is the one who must be able to tell the forest from the trees. He or she needs a grand vision, even when the design trees have just been planted. He also must have the wherewithal to deal with those customers anxious to see the end product and at times a bit impatient while the trees are growing. The manager coordinates the entire team, and works to bring them together to create a professional, finished product. It is also nice to see the big smile on his face when everything is successfully completed.
The developers are the mechanics, able to fix just about anything, no matter what the problem. Sometimes it involves taking a designer's crazy ideas and making them work. Other times it may mean modifying a design effort so that it accommodates a customer's desire. Often it is simply a matter of tweaking a little engine part, but the best developers can take apart the entire engine and recreate it to fit the designer's vision. However, a developer without a designer is like someone who is all dressed up with no place to go.
The designers are the Michelangelo of the web design project. Just as Michelangelo was able to carve seemingly living slaves out of marble, the top designers can create a modern piece of art from a jumble of ideas, programming, software, and digital design components. A top design team has a number of designers with different areas of expertise and creativity. They brainstorm with one another to come up with new and exciting ideas. Once they agree n a design concepts, they work with the developers to make it all happen. And, yes, a designer without a top-notch developer is like a sculptor without a chisel.
Digital technology has made incredible advances over the last few years. The best design teams are constantly researching and, indeed, contributing to the continual development of technological improvements. In the end, though, the focus is on the customer and producing something that exceeds expectations for both the customer and the design team. A successful design effort does not end with the web site creation. As new ideas and technology arrive, they are applied to the product with the goal of keeping the customer with a strong market presence and an easily recognizable brand. A successful web campaign means more business for the customer and more business for the design professionals who work within well-organized content management systems to create a winning concept.
