One can find a lot of material written about its importance and benefits, but still, there are organizations that tend to make mistakes while designing their website. Sometimes, the mistakes seem small and negligible to us, but they prove highly detrimental for image and prestige of the business. Remember, mistakes can’t remain hidden from target audience, because they are not only visitors, they are users of your website; therefore, they can easily figure out your mistakes. Hence, it is important to have a stringent check on all features of a web design in order to improve its quality and productivity. Web design can be highly productive if it is designed according to the nature of a business and demands of target customers. Different features of a web design including colors, graphics and images should always be chosen in accordance with the nature of business and its target audience, but information on the website is something more important than these graphics and colors. Most of the organizations don’t even pay much attention towards this aspect, as they consider it least important thing. Most of the organizations put huge content on their website; thus, it serves to drive away the interest of visitors. Here, it is important to select relevant content and information and present it in an appealing manner. Moreover, nature of business and level of target audience should also be considered while developing content for a web design. For example, there is a company that deals in heavy machinery parts and equipment, it is important for the organization to provide technical specifications for these parts on its website. Content related to products should include their technical specifications in bullets or table format rather than in the form of huge paragraphs. These small changes make big differences and make it easier for visitors to understand your business. Besides putting huge content on the website, many organizations don’t even insert appropriate keywords in it to make their web design search engine friendly. If your content is relevant, appealing, short and simple but it isn’t search engine friendly, then it won’t be helpful in increasing your clientele. Therefore, content of website should always be search engine friendly. Another important point is spelling or grammatical mistakes. Even a single spelling or grammatical mistake puts a bad impression on the visitor. It isn’t professional to make such mistakes. Therefore, it is important to proofread the web content many times before making it live. It is also important to maintain uniformity in font size and style of the content. If you want to have a combination of two to three font styles, then it is important to choose those that complement each other. Font size should also be chosen accordingly to ensure visibility and clarity. Some organizations ignore this principle of clarity, visibility and attractiveness; hence, font size of their web content fails to give their web design a professional look. Content of web design should always be compelling, short and precise because it is responsible for convincing and gaining trust of the target customers.
