Incontinence among adults is a problem that comes with age. People who suffer from bladder control problems find it difficult to choose a product that is comfortable and cheap at the same time. Disposable incontinence products are easily available in the market, though they turn out to be expensive if you suffer from constant urine leakage. Cloth products are washable and can be used for a longer time. Initially, different kinds of supplies should be tried, in order to find the one that is economical, yet comfortable to use.

Pads and Inserts

If you suffer from small leakage, mini pads or liners work just fine. They are sufficiently absorbent though it’s tough to hold them in place for long durations. Disposable inserts are similar products that are much more absorbent and stay well fitted. They are available in both disposable and reusable types. Cloth liners or pads can be worn inside waterproof underpants. The primary benefit of using cloth pads is that they are soft on the skin and can be reused.

Diapers

People who don’t find liners to be absorbent enough should wear adult diapers. These are also available in the market as pads and inserts. Disposable diapers are made of waterproof material and have elastic on the legs to prevent any leakage, which means they are tight and rough on the skin. Although available in different sizes, these are expensive and unsuitable for everyday use.

Reusable diapers, on the other hand, are softer and less expensive incontinence products. These are basically underpants designed to hold reusable liners. They are more durable and comfortable, as compared to the disposable ones.

Another variety of incontinence diapers look like a normal underwear and are highly absorbent. They are not as cheap and easily available as regular diapers.

Bed Pads

Bed pads are again cost effective incontinence products. These are cheap and can be easily washed at home and reused. Bed pads act as bed sheet and mattress protector, as they instantly soak the urine leakage. The only problem is that they are of no use to people who have to go out often.

It's important to take into consideration the comfort level of the product chosen along with its cost and durability. Incontinence products that are expensive and rough on the skin cannot be used regularly. Evaluate your requirement and pick one or a combination of the popular incontinence supplies accordingly.
