If the real estate in Cost Brava that you fall in love with does not have these things in place you may be able to negotiate the price a little lower by pointing out that you are going to have to install aluminium or PVCframes.

If you have a boat, is the jetty large enough for it? This does sometimes get missed when you are looking at the interior of the house. you may have found a house that seems perfect. Until you go outside and take a look at the jetty. It is not always easy to make a jetty that is too small larger. You might not have the space or you might not even be able to extend the boat mooring because of the lie of the land. A mooring that is a bit too big is not really a problem. You might have to move the mooring points a little to fit your boat, but a jetty that is too small can be a real problem.

Is the amount of upkeep that will have to be done on the property too high. You will not be staying in the property in Costa Brava the entire time. This means that potentially every time you go out to your holiday home in Costa Brava you are going to have to do some repairs. You will want to buy a property that is as low maintenance as possible. The other option would be to hire someone to house sit for you and make sure that everything is ship shape when you go on holiday.

Things like the number of rooms and bathrooms and the size of the kitchen are still important, but a holiday home is a little bit different. You need to take a little more into consideration when you are buying a holiday home in Spain as you do not want to have to do renovations and things like that to make the property into what you want in your home away from home.
