Extending your home is getting to be more expensive, which has led to a spate of people being interested in building contemporary kitchens inside conservatories. The issue is more complicated than you might think though. When it comes to the science it is easy, you can use uPVC conservatories as kitchens without a problem. Just ensure you chose the right builder. It terms of the building regulations things get more difficult though, your conservatory will no longer be classed as such if you put a kitchen in there. Having kitchen appliances in your conservatory mean that it must just be classed as a normal extension. This isnt to say that it isnt worth exploring. For a start, a conservatory is much cheaper than a normal extension. Look around the internet and you will see some really stylish contemporary kitchens which have been built in a conservatory. I think there is an even better way though. The building regs relate specifically to the kitchen appliances so why not just keep them in the main body of the house? Your conservatory can create a huge amount more space for your open plan kitchen, but you will avoid a lot of headaches if the gas and water remain firmly inside the house. One thing that is commonly found in contemporary kitchens is a large floating island which is great both for eating at or for food preparation. Why not run this through the middle of your kitchen and into the conservatory? This creates a win win situation with a major focal point in your kitchen as well as bags of space. There is more than one way to skin a cat though and you will find there are so many different ways that you can make use of the extra space created by adding a conservatory to your kitchen. Combining a kitchen and dining room is becoming increasingly popular. Keep the separating patio doors between the house and the conservatory constantly open and create a gorgeous dining area in your conservatory and you can have the best of both worlds. You also can now use your former dining room for something else. Having half of your kitchen built from glass or uPVC also has lots of benefits. Not only does it suit the modern and minimalist look down to a tea, it also further expands on the feeling of space. Many people love conservatories as they give the illusion of being outdoors without actually being out there, very appealing in the UK! Whether you are planning a BBQ, a dinner party or a party this will also be a fantastic space for entertaining guests. This style of kitchen will be even busier than normal during parties, dont you find that the kitchen is where it is all happening at most parties?
