After clients carefully choose what merchandise they will sell at their stores, there is always concern that these items will not fit properly in their store or be easily displayed. By using the latestevolvement in the science of thermoformed packaging, in which molds are carefully formed for each item by using eco-friendly substances such as 100% recycled materials and biodegradable packaging, you can be sure your displays will be stocked appealingly. Each item that needs to have custom packaging is given a specific encasement to not only protect it through shipment but also allow it be attractively displayed in any store. The variety of customized packaging for retail gives multiple options for retailers to consider.
Light Gauge Thermoforming
Light Gauge Thermoforming or thin gauge thermoforming improves the appearance of retail packaging. This method is not only useful for the protection of items during shipment but also for utilization of the packaging in store displays. Thin plastic sheets are used to carefully stretch over the items for a more smooth appearance. But what makes this method ingenious is that if the packaging is no longer needed; the biodegradable packaging can be discarded in an eco-friendly manner.
Customized Thermoformed Packaging
Four main styles of custom packaging have been created to protect and display items: blisters, trays, trifolds and clamshells. All of these methods are customized according to the clients needs and can be used for a wide variety of merchandise. For example, blister packaging is mainly used for pharmaceutical needs but can also be used for other small part items. Other common packaging methods specifically for retail include the trifold packaging. This retail packaging method is great for displaying items to stand alone on shelving units in stores. Though slightly more costly because of the technology used to create this packaging, this concept saves stores time and money in other areas by allowing the items to be displayed in a versatile way. The other two packaging methods, trays and clamshells, also are used for a variety of needs such as trays for organization of medical labs and clamshells for the display of retail items including cellphones and other electronics.
