Cycling from Lands End to John O;Groat involves traveling approximately 847 miles. Accomplishing this feat in 10 to 14 days requires pedaling for about 100 miles per day. Interesting Roads Records Association Statistics The record for completion is held by Andy Wilkinson who covered the entire route in just over 41 hours. In 2010 a University of Bath student cycled from Lands End to John O'Groat and back in 5 days, 21 hours and 8 minutes. The youngest cyclist on record to complete a one-way trip is a 4 year old lad who made the trip in 31 days. Although most records are for cyclists, the eldest person to successfully make the trip on foot was 74 years of age.
