When cells from the scalp of the head over and die off, the condition is known as dandruff. Dandruff is easily visible as flakes present in the hair, most often accompanied by itching of the scalp. The itching can be mild or severe, depending on the amount of dandruff that is present.
Though dandruff is mostly observed in the scalp of the head, but can also be present in the ears, eyebrows and forehead. Medical science is still not clear why dandruff occurs, and why it is more common in some people than others. Some doctors indicate at dandruff is an infection of yeast Pityrosporum ovale. There are also direct results proving that dandruff occurs due to hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands of the scalp. Dandruff is aggravated by certain factors, so allergic causes can also be considered.
(1) Useful Herbs in the treatment of dandruff
1. Alfalfa (Medicago satina)
Alfalfa has a noticeable effect on hair growth. Its effects are greatly enhanced by the combination of carrot and lettuce with alfalfa.
2. Ash Gourd (Benincasa HIPS)
The peel and the seeds of ash gourd are very effective in treating dandruff. Regular use can keep moisture from the scalp and prevent dandruff live.
3. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum)
Fenugreek seeds have healing powers to reduce dander. Is softened in water and applied to the scalp every morning. After an hour, wash with soap nuts. This keeps away dandruff and prevents hair loss.
4. Indian hemp (Cannabis sativa)
Indian hemp juice can reduce dandruff when applied directly to the scalp.
5. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Rosemary is an active ingredient of the head of several tonics and shampoos. Rejuvenates the scalp keeping it moist and therefore prevents dandruff. It is also used to treat premature baldness.
(2) Dietary Treatments for Dandruff
If dandruff is caused by allergies to food, then stop consuming the food directly to eliminate dandruff. Even if no particular allergy is identified, it was found that a healthy diet can keep the scalp healthy and reduce the chances of dandruff.
The following are some dietary guidelines that can be used to prevent or reduce dandruff: -
1. Milk, dairy products, seafood, animal protein and fatty foods are on the list of foods to avoid for people with dandruff.
2. Vitamin C is not good for dandruff. Most of the bitter taste of foods vitami
C in them. Therefore, tomatoes, oranges, lemons, tamarind, etc, which have the acid content should be avoided.
3. Vegetables and fruits should be included in the diet. Green vegetables are the best effects.
4. Fermented foods and bakery products should be avoided. This includes bread, cheese, wine and all types of alcohol.
(3) Ayurvedic Treatment for dandruff
There are many Ayurvedic medicines that can be used to treat dandruff.

2. Rasayana Gandhaka internal medicine used to treat dandruff.
3. Take a teaspoon of Brihat Haridra Khand in a glass of milk twice a day takes care of dandruff effectively. Along with that, but also deepens the color of the hair.
4. Since dandruff can be due to impure blood, the drugs must also be taken to purify the blood. In Ayurveda, and Saribadyaasavam Khadirarishta taken to purify the blood.
(4) Home Medications
1 A simple remedy - which is used by many people around the world - is to make a paste of sandalwood oil with triple the amount of lemon juice and apply on the scalp while it is still fresh.

ii. Make regular use of a combination of olive oil and ginger in the head. This will reduce the dandruff and nourish the hair from the root.
iii. Make a mixture of ginger root and sugar beet. Apply this on scalp.
2. Apart from these remedies, there are several things to be done about the hygiene of the head to reduce dandruff. These rules of personal hygiene are the following: -
i. A daily bath is essential. Even if you wash your hair every day (if you're doing this, then remember to use a mild shampoo suitable for your hair type), wash the scalp. After bathing, dry your hair and then with a brush to remove flaky dandruff it.
ii. Keep your hair well oiled. Dandruff tends to form more when the skin is dry. Also lubricate the air to strengthen their roots.
Some people believe that dandruff is increased by stress. Therefore, it is advisable to keep your mind free with the help of yoga asanas.
