Dare to Dream

Dare to dream big dreams! If you lost or given up on your dreams, start to dream again! Pick it back up! If you don’t have a dream, pray and ask God to give you a dream and to ignite it in your heart. Then, go for it! The time is now! Don’t wait until tomorrow; tomorrow is not promised to any one of us. The only time you really have is this moment called today. God has given each one of us a purpose for our lives. You may not know what your purpose is and here lies the frustration you feel. You feel out of place, sometimes confused and lost. You ask why am I here? Why was I born? God’s not hiding His purpose for your life. He is waiting for you to seek Him with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. In verse 13, God promises that when you seek Him wholeheartedly, you will find Him, and when you find God you find your purpose for living. You and I were created on purpose, with purpose, and a for purpose. We were created to do awesome things to impact the world, which is our sphere of influence. These “good works” are already inside of us. It is our responsibility to discover who we are and what we were created or designed to do. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (NIV). Here are some self-awareness questions you need to ask yourself. These questions will help you to identify or discover your passions. Whatever you are passionate about is connected to your purpose in some way. Take whatever time you need to answer these questions. Ask God to help you to discover your purpose and destiny that He Himself placed inside of you before the foundation of the world. Questions to Ask to Identify Your Passions: What are some things that inspire you?rnWhat is important to you?rnWhat do you care about?rnWhat do you enjoy doing?rnWhat do you need to have in your life to make it meaningful?rnWhat things mean the most to you?rnWhat are you good at doing?rnWhat are your gifts?rnWhat are your talents?rnWhat skills do you enjoy using? If money and time were not an issue, what would you do?rnDetermine to live 2013 and beyond with purpose. Never settle for less than God’s best for your life! I guarantee you that it is big. How do I know that you may be wondering? I know this because God is a big God who cannot be contained, and if you are a child of God, He lives inside of you! The problem is we try to contain Him or box Him in with our small dreams and our small thinking. Let us leave this bad habit behind us. So, dare to dream BIG dreams! Dare to stay committed to achieving your dreams no matter what! And let your declaration be “No small dreams here!” “If it’s going to be it’s up to me.”
