Deep Brain Stimulation – Unchartered Territories

Just how deep can you go with deep brain stimulation is a question many have asked themselves as they pondered over the many new products that promise to reprogramme the subconscious mind. The term subconscious denotes that within your brain, there is an awareness, a pre concept of a thinking and living mind that resides deep within the cortex. It is not something that is tangible, something that can be placed under a microscope, but it lives and functions as omnipresence if you like, and that has great control over the rest of the mind.

Just how much control has been placed in much debate over the past few decades, and the argument on both sides is that there is either a limit to the power of the subconscious and that there is no limit. Now, let us look at the latter of this argument; when we say that there is no limit to something, this means that the power of the subconscious can only grow exponentially as we get closer to unlocking it. Then there is the conundrum, while something is unlimited, the perceptions of how we control it will have limitations as well. So, how does something with limitations control something that does not have such trappings to be conce
ed of? What this means is that we have to ignore the physical for a moment. The subconscious has no tangent, no existence, no matter, but without the brain, the subconscious cannot exist, so is the brain then the physical prison? Or is it just an anchor to its existence on this plane? So let us try to make sense of this then.

Imagine if you will that the subconscious is the sun, and for now, we have only the power to harness a fraction of its energy and we are able to gaze at it. We cannot touch it and we cannot even come close to it, which makes it something of omnipresence in this plane of existence. Surely, if we have found a way to contain the sun, the amount of potent energy inside is limitless. There is no calculation, no number, and no knowledge that can not only measure the amount of energy inside, but accurately predict that there is anything that we have that can make any sense of it.

So it the sun has limitless energy to give, and 5 billion years is a long time, how do we control it? Current technology like brainwave entrainment is an excellent means to the end of controlling the power of the mind, and it should not surprise you that the power we are controlling is based on what we know. There is so much we do not know. And if we did know, there would be no instrument in the world (for now) that can control it. So, what we have is a temporal solution to increase the power of the mind and of the subconscious, to our advantage of course. For now, we have the power of brainwave entrainment – later - we can only dare to dream.
