Viewing, browsing or having pornography on the work computer can lead to job dismissal particularly in the current economic environment with approximately ten percent unemployment and the uncertainty about the economic recovery. Most employees at organizations and home Internet users are unaware of the fact that they have porn on their computers. Not all porn files on the user's computer are the result of intentional viewing or downloading or pornography. Other porn files may have arrived accidentally, through received emails or by simply surfing the Internet. Unfortunately, some questionable and objectionable websites use Spyware and adware to add porn to unsuspecting users computers without their knowledge. Users are often shocked to find out that there is pornography and objectionable content on their work or home computers. It is virtually impossible to determine the source where these porn files and objectionable material originated from. Employees and home users are therefore strongly advised to err on the side of caution and ensure that their computers are free of porn and objectionable material. The negative impact on a family when a wife finds that her husband was fired for viewing porn is evident. The negative impact is even more far reaching at home when children are exposed to this objectionable content. Accordingly, employees and home users should use professionally developed software specially and specifically designed to scan and delete porn from their computers or risk loosing their job or their family.
