Dementia a serious disorder and it is important to detect the signs of this disorder before it gets too late. The first three stages of dementia may suffer from memory problems like depression, lack of interest or initiative in some individuals or lack of ability to perform any task. While some others, may begin to have some personality changes and difficulty in expressing ones emotions.

When you notice the early signs of dementia like anxiety and depression treatment then you need to seek professional medical help. As presently there is no cure for progressive dementia like Alzheimer’s. At present this disorder is treated with proper medication, nutrition and various behavioral approaches. Dementia care plan has also been started in various medical centers.

rnWith proper medication symptoms like irritation, anxiety and restlessness that many people suffer from dementia reduces. One can provide care with interpersonal communication but it is not an easy task as by the time the care has reached the person till that time the brain has already reduced its functions.

rnCommunication is quite difficult for the person suffering from dementia as well as the person who is taking care of the patient. As those people have problems in remembering the information and they have little or no ability to store any new information and less ability to respond to the situation in a proper manner.

When these symptoms occur it causes frustration, restlessness, an increase in anxiety and anger in some people. The person suffering from dementia often experience anger, frustration and restlessness. They still are aware that something is wrong with them and this causes frustration and confusion.

rnThere are some things that a person with dementia and their family should implement in their lives. Medical experts suggest that for the fitness of the brain one should get into physical fitness and promote new connections to form in the brain. In various hospitals one gets anxiety and depression treatment under the dementia care plan. A brisk walk daily and playing card games can be a vital element in promoting and maintaining one’s well-being. With the help of these activities there can be a decrease in the risk of insomnia, anxiety, depression and negative behaviors. Good nutrition with a healthy diet is also required so one should intake dark green leafy vegetables, fish, whole grains and fruit as they constitute a balanced and a healthy diet.

rnIt is important to have patience and compassion to create positive emotions in a person who is suffering from dementia. It is important for the caretaker to realize the difference between the person who was before the incident and who is after the incident. It is important for the caregiver not to create an adversarial behavior and the goal of every caregiver should be to create a positive and an emotional relationship.
